You will receive confirmation of registration from the Summit team upon receipt of your summit registration form and payment of the registration fee. Participation is by invitation only. Who should attend?
Attendance at the Summit is by invitation only.
Participants and exhibitors will include all air transport industry players with an interest in environmental issues including airlines, airports, airframe, engine, equipment and component manufacturers, air navigation services providers, fuel suppliers, ground service and transportation providers, travel and tourism companies, chambers of commerce and civil aviation authorities.

Method of payment
Delegates participating in the Summit can pay by bank transfer, cheque or credit card. Payments must be made in Euros.

Credit cards

American Express, MasterCard or Visa credit cards may be used. A fax-back credit card form is downloaded automatically when you complete your online registration form when choosing the “credit card” option.

All invoices must be paid upon receipt. If payment is not received before the start of the Summit, participants will be asked to pay on-site or provide proof of payment (copy of bank transfer order). The Summit team reserves the right to refuse entry if payment has not been received.

 
 

Cancellations/transfers
Cancellations must be made in writing. If received by the Summit team in Geneva before or on 10 March 2006, the registration fee will be refunded (minus a EUR 100 administration fee). For cancellations received after this date and before or on 23 April 2006, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded. As from 24 April 2006, fees will NOT BE REFUNDED. No-shows will be billed for the full amount and will NOT be refunded.

Your registration may be transferred to another person at no charge, subject to written notification to the organisers prior to the conference.

Summit documents
On-site, each delegate will receive a badge, a final Summit programme and the list of participants. The presentations will be available after the Summit.

Summit language
The Summit will be conducted in English only.

Flights
British Airways is the official carrier for the Summit, providing Summit delegates with discounted airfares. Further information is available on the travel & accommodation page.

Airport & hotel transfers
The hotel is only three minutes from Geneva International Airport. A shuttle bus departs from the hotel and the airport every 20 minutes between 05:30 and 12:10. From 12.10 to 24:00, the shuttle bus is available on demand. At the airport, the shuttle bus is parked at exit 4.
Visas
All visitors must hold a passport that is valid at least three months beyond the intended length of stay.

The organisers and Geneva International Airport cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for persons who may be refused entry into Switzerland.

Delegates and accompanying persons
Accompanying persons are invited to attend the Gala dinner, but may not participate in the business lunches. See registration fees in the registration section.

Dress
Business attire is suggested for the conference and casual dress for the Gala dinner.

 

About Geneva
Geneva is located between the Alps and the Jura mountains at the very South-West part of Switzerland with a backdrop of Lake Geneva and the Mont Blanc and the Rhone river. There are many possibilities for excursions into the surrounding countryside whether by boat, train or coach – with ski resorts as little as 45 minutes away.

Climate
Geneva enjoys a temperate climate with average daytime temperatures of 15-20°C in the spring. Its altitude is 375 m above sea level.

Language
Whilst French is the official language spoken in Geneva, English and German is also spoken in most hotels, restaurants and shops.

Time zone
In April, Geneva is in the time zone of Central Europe (Greenwich GMT +1).

Currency
The currency is Swiss Francs (CHF). One Franc is divided into 100 centimes.

Most credit cards are accepted in the majority of hotels, restaurants and shops. There are no restrictions on the import and export of foreign currency.

Tipping
Service is included in the bill in restaurants and bars in Switzerland, but it is customary to leave small change.

Mobile phones
GSM 900 and 1800 networks cover the whole country. It is illegal to use a hand-held mobile telephone while driving.

Electricity
Voltage 220 volts. Plugs and sockets are three-pin (circular).
